ABOUT WINKOLOGY NYC:
Winkology NYC is a lash salon located in the New Yorker Building. We specialize in luxury lash extensions while also integrating media and content creation into our brand. Our mission is to create aesthetic, engaging content that not only markets our services but also builds a strong digital presence in the beauty industry.
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a highly creative Social Media Manager & Content Creator who thinks outside the box and understands the ins and outs of virality on social platforms. The ideal candidate must know how to film, edit, brainstorm ideas, and execute content that captures attention and grows engagement.
This role is on-site, full-time, and requires someone who is passionate about branding, digital marketing, and content creation. The perfect candidate should be able to work independently while also being adaptable and open to learning new strategies and tools as the industry evolves.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Content Creation & Editing:
Film and edit high-quality, engaging videos using tools like CapCut or Adobe Premiere Pro.
Capture high-quality photos and create aesthetic graphics using Canva & Photoshop.
Operate a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 (or similar camera) for filming.
Develop and execute a content strategy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
Stay on top of trending content, viral moments, and platform algorithm changes to maximize reach.
Maintain a consistent posting schedule and engage with followers.
Brainstorm innovative, outside-the-box marketing ideas to elevate our brand.
Ensure content aligns with Winkology NYC’s brand identity and aesthetic.
Track content performance and provide insights on what works best.
Use platform analytics to adjust strategies for better engagement and reach.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven experience in social media management/content creation (portfolio required).
Expertise in filming, video editing, photography, and graphic design.
Proficiency in Canva & Photoshop (required).
Strong understanding of social media virality, trends, and platform algorithms.
Ability to work independently
Willingness to learn, adapt, and improve with evolving social media trends.
A passion for beauty, fashion, or the lash industry is a plus!
JOB DETAILS:
Salary: Starts at $2,600 per month, with opportunities for bonuses based on performance.
Position: Full-time, on-site role in New York City (New Yorker Building).
