Full-Time | San Francisco, CA (Hybrid Considered)

Salary: $70,000 – $85,000

Do you thrive on creative energy and want to own the marketing game for a brand that’s as bold and original as you are? Then pull up a chair—we’ve got something fun for you.

ok At Yellow Owl Workshop, we’ve been crafting playful, design-driven jewelry, socks, and gifts since 2006. Our San Francisco studio is a kaleidoscope of color, creativity, and collaboration. Every design tells a story, and we’re looking for someone who can bring that same spark to our marketing.

We need a Marketing & E-Commerce Lead who’s ready to fully own our marketing efforts. From emails and SMS to social media and promotions, this is your chance to take the reins and make magic happen. You’ll be the driving force behind campaigns that capture our creative vibe and keep our customers coming back for more.

This role is perfect for someone who loves building and creating—whether it’s a killer TikTok strategy, a clever email subject line, or an engaging wholesale promo. You’ll have the freedom to experiment and the support to make big ideas happen.

If this sounds like your vibe, let’s make some marketing magic together!

This role is based in San Francisco, with the option for a hybrid schedule.

What You’ll Do

Email & SMS Marketing

Plan, design, and execute email campaigns using Klaviyo that keep our customers engaged and excited.
Manage SMS marketing via Attentive, crafting texts that feel personal and drive sales.
Set up automated flows like welcome sequences, abandoned cart recovery, and post-purchase follow-ups.

Social Media & Content Creation

Own and grow our Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest, ensuring content is fun, stylish, and trend-forward.
Plan and schedule posts that align with product launches, trends, and seasonal moments.
Engage with our community—respond to DMs, reshare UGC, and build real connections with our customers.
Spot trends and jump on them before they go mainstream (you always know what’s next).

Wholesale & DTC Marketing Coordination

Work closely with the sales team to create marketing strategies that support both wholesale buyers and direct customers.
Develop seasonal promotions and campaigns to encourage reorders from retailers and boost online sales.
Keep our retail partners engaged with wholesale email campaigns, social media toolkits, and special promotions.

E-Commerce & Website Updates

Update the website 1–2 times a month (WooCommerce/WordPress) to keep the store fresh, user-friendly, and aligned with product launches. These platforms are user-friendly, and we’re happy to help you get up to speed if you’re new to them.
Understand and track marketing performance using KPIs—no need for long reports, just actionable insights to drive smarter strategies.
Experiment with creative ideas to boost customer engagement, repeat purchases, and average order value.

Marketing Calendar & Promotions

Plan and execute a marketing calendar that includes seasonal launches, sales, and brand storytelling moments.
Coordinate with sales and production teams to make sure marketing syncs with product availability.
Support print marketing efforts, including collaborating with the design team on our DTC and twice yearly wholesale releases.

Content Creation & Photoshoots

Work with the Creative Director to coordinate product photoshoots and ensure we capture stunning visuals for marketing.
Create assets using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Write quirky, fun, and conversion-friendly copy for emails, social posts, and product pages.

Who You Are

Extremely online—you know what’s trending before it hits the mainstream.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in e-commerce, email marketing, and social media.
You love branding and aesthetics—you have a great eye for design, photography, and storytelling.
You’re a strong writer who can craft fun, engaging, and personality-filled marketing copy.
You understand e-commerce and online shopping behavior—what makes someone hit “add to cart” and come back for more.
You’re highly organized and can own projects from start to finish without needing micromanagement.
You’re collaborative and enjoy working in a supportive, creative environment.

Why You’ll Love It Here

A vibrant, fun, and relaxed work environment—we’re serious about what we do, but we keep things lighthearted. Work-life balance is a priority here.
