Job Summary:
A SNF facility is seeking an experienced and motivated Admissions Director to manage the admissions process for our skilled nursing facility. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless transition for new residents and their families while maintaining census goals. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of the long-term care industry, and a passion for providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the admissions process from initial inquiry to resident onboarding, ensuring compliance with facility policies and regulations.
Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, healthcare providers, case managers, and other referral sources to drive admissions.
Meet census and occupancy goals by actively promoting the facility’s services and coordinating outreach efforts.
Coordinate pre-admission screenings to determine clinical eligibility and ensure appropriate placement of residents.
Communicate with residents and families to provide information, answer questions, and guide them through the admissions process.
Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and administrative teams to ensure a smooth transition for new residents.
Maintain accurate admission records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Conduct tours of the facility for potential residents, families, and referral sources.
Assist in marketing efforts to promote the facility’s services to the community.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, social work, or a related field (preferred).
Experience in healthcare admissions, marketing, or case management, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility.
Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance processes related to skilled nursing admissions.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and Microsoft Office Suite.
