Position Summary

The Communication and Marketing Analyst will use data and analytics to understand user behavior and market trends, then apply that knowledge to develop and implement effective communication and marketing strategies to promote products or services for faculty in the Department of Dermatology. This role will also develop press releases, department newsletters, and use analytical tools to identify, track, and monitor areas of improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

Creates and disseminates department newsletters
Creates booklets and prospectus for department conferences
Develops press releases for department activities
Track, analyze, and interpret website traffic, user behavior, and engagement metrics using Google Analytics and other digital tools.
Use Microsoft Excel to compile, visualize, and report key analytics data for informed decision-making.
Monitor social media performance, analyze key metrics, and optimize content strategy based on data insights.
Evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) for email marketing campaigns and provide actionable recommendations.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to improve digital marketing efforts.
Maintain and update the organization’s website with the latest news, events, and requested content changes.
Collaborate with faculty members, communication teams, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
Develop and manage engaging social media content, including posts, stories, and captions.
Assist in developing and implementing content strategies that align with audience interests and organizational goals.
Contribute to broader marketing and communication initiatives to enhance engagement and visibility.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Completed coursework in business, marketing, or a related field

Experience

A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in marketing communications, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience.

Physical Requirements

Stand, walk, and reach above the shoulder frequently in a clinical setting.
Must be able to occasionally lift and carry or push and pull up to 20 lbs. as part of the role
Regularly exposed to healthcare settings that may require personal protective equipment
Requires manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, calculator, copier machine, and other equipment.
