Overview
Incarnation Catholic School, within the Diocese of Venice in Florida, Inc. works diligently to support and strengthen the Catholic Church and its value system. By word and example teachers support all of the official religious teachings of the Catholic Church throughout their personal and professional lives.
The full-time Director of Advancement reports to the Principal and is responsible for the planning, management, and coordination of enrollment management, development, communications, and school activities that create a supportive climate for enrollment and fundraising.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement a school marketing and communications plan.
Set and maintain professional writing and design standards for school communications including print and electronic publications.
Actively engage donors and build relationships with the community to grow the school’s fundraising capacity.
Create marketing and public relations materials for student recruitment efforts.
Manage the recruitment and retention process.
Promote understanding, acceptance and support of the mission statement and strategic objectives of the school.
Plan, manage and implement fundraising and friend-raising initiatives including the annual fund, major gifts, and events.
Educate and engage key volunteers (i.e. Home & School association and athletics) in implementing mission-based fundraising.
Identify, recruit and engage volunteers including prospects, parents, alumni, grandparents, clergy, students, faculty, staff, etc.
Build relationship with four sending parishes.
Work to build an alumni network.
Oversee the management of databases regarding enrollment, development, and alumni databases and update accordingly.
Other duties as assigned by the principal.
Requirements:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Must have experience in enrollment management, development, sales, marketing, communication, and/or volunteer management, preferably in the field of education.
Ability to appreciate and communicate a passion for Catholic education.
Demonstrated leadership and effectiveness in developing and accomplishing organizational goals.
Ability to build a team, effectively recruiting and managing volunteers.
Excellent communication skills, ability to execute plans and interact effectively with staff, students, parents and donors.
Proficient with technology including Office and Google Apps.
