INNOCEAN USA, a full-service advertising agency located in Huntington Beach, CA is looking for an Assistant Media Planner to join our General Accounts team.
The Assistant Media Planner for General Accounts (Wienerschnitzel) reports into the Media Director and works closely with the Media Supervisor on the day-to-day efforts across media planning, implementation, and campaign stewardship. This candidate to work on both digital and traditional channels from a strategy, planning, execution, and measurement standpoint. The Assistant Media Planner works closely with several groups including internal account and media teams, and external media vendors.
The ideal candidate is passionate about learning all things media, is a team player, and enjoys a fast-paced environment. Candidate should be detailed oriented, effectively prioritize tasks and demonstrate strong organization skills to maintain workflow. Ability to rapidly learn and implement new processes while being open to feedback to actively seek opportunities for professional growth.
Key Role Responsibilities
Work with the team to develop and execute integrated media strategies and plans that deliver on the clients objectives and goals. These includes:
Target research, strategic flighting, channel mixes, budget allocations, and partner selection
Both digital and traditional media channels (e.g., outdoor, print, digital video, display, programmatic, paid social, paid search, etc.)
Individual to be responsible for implementing media and ongoing campaign stewardship including IOs, trafficking, pacing, QAing, reporting, billing, budget tracking, etc.
Assistant Media Planner works alongside team members to keep both internal and external status documents up-to-date and drive status call with media partners and team
Individual works with the planning team on New Business efforts as needed
Assistant Media Planner uses effective time management and project management skills to ensure deadlines are being met with quality work across all accounts
Individual adapts and keeps up with a quick paced environment; the planning team has several roles including strategy, planning, execution, and measurement
Requirements
Education B.S./B.A. required – preferably in Marketing/Communications
Experience
Entry level experience in media planning and buying in both traditional and digital is a plus but not necessary
Skills & Abilities
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks and consistently meet deadlines
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and solid understanding of math
A team player not afraid to jump in and help where needed
Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel and Power Point Expertise)
Digital trafficking experience is a plus (e.g., Campaign Manager)
Knowledge of Media-related research, planning, buying & digital related resources is a plus (e.g., Vivvix, MRI/Simmons, ComScore, Campaign Manager, Prisma, etc.)

Salary range: $24.04 to $25.00 an hour
