Job DescriptionNielsenIQ’s Product Leadership team develops and drives the product strategy for NielsenIQ’s vast consumer data. Whether it be panel and retail measurement, our “Connected” technology platform or our suite of client applications, NielsenIQ’s Product Leadership team defines the market opportunities that shape the products our clients use to make strategic business decisions.
As a Product Manager, you’ll be at the heart of creating scalable platform tools that bring NielsenIQ’s data to the heart of the decisions our clients make every day. You can expect to work in a cross-functional, global team to contribute to building out our next generation Connect platform, which is the center of NielsenIQ’s technology evolution, enabling rapid innovation at scale to solve clients’ needs.
What You’ll Do
Be responsible for establishing the strategic vision and use cases, based on analytical products, to be integrated within embedded analytics
Generation of high-level strategic, functional, and technical documentation to advocate and support product development
Be responsible for the product backlog, defining dependencies on other services, and prioritizing requirements in the PIs that support the global evolution and expansion of the product
Coordination with various departments involved in defining the GTM strategy to ensure the financial viability and scalability of the product
Ability to understand, at a functional and technical level, how analytical products have been implemented to coordinate technical teams in their integration within the Embedded Analytics architecture efficiently and scalability
Be responsible for delivering your product to meet the goals, customer segments and use cases defined by your product
Develop user stories and requirements based on market and user experience research
Working with your scrum team(s) under the agile methodology to plan, execute and deploy features and functions.
Manage the backlog, prioritization of features, value vs. complexity tradeoffs, and cross-functional dependencies / risks
Ensures end to end product definition and delivery of solutions (from data sourcing, cleansing, harmonizing, projection, platform processing, and UI delivery)
Quickly form hypotheses and potential solutions that can be vetted out in prototypes or wireframes
Owns user acceptance testing as a proxy for the client, client users, Connected Partners and others as they match your user journey
Work with internal users, external customers and usage data to validate the effectiveness and success of your product
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Statistics, or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in a Product, Technology, or Data Science role
Solid ability to present information in the simplest and most compelling way
Solid communication skills, including the ability to influence key stakeholders and interface with clients
Excited to ideate on new challenges while simultaneously diving into the details
Ability to form a point of view on the client benefits for your products and services and the value to Nielsen, connecting them to the design principles and articulating them to others
