Position Summary
The Field Marketing Specialist – Missouri is responsible for executing local marketing strategies in St. Louis and supporting Kansas City events. This role will spearhead events, sponsorship engagements, employee engagement events, and maintain relationships with local business partnerships to enhance brand visibility and customer loyalty. The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, and passionate about building relationships within the community. This position reports to the Missouri Marketing Supervisor.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Field Marketing Specialist key responsibilities include:
Manage event logistics. Oversee event staffing, setup, on-site engagement, and clean-up.
Develop and nurture relationships with local businesses to find sponsorship opportunities.
Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure all promotional graphics are ready for events.
Collaborate with compliance to ensure our participation in events adheres to state and local regulations.
Provide feedback to the marketing team on what collateral/swag is needed for events.
Maintain and update The Stash with Bluntly Best winners, marketing updates, employee engagement, etc.
Assist with promotions, swag, and other marketing events.
Pull bounce-back coupons from Dutchie to review the effectiveness of events.
Plans and implements employee events, including annual 7/10 and Holiday parties in Missouri.
Support stores with community outreach projects, i.e., canned food drives, coat drives, hygiene item drives, etc.
Support marketing-led employee engagement activities such as Spirit Week, contests, etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills & Abilities
Required:
High school diploma or GED required.
Positive attitude and willingness to engage with people.
Highly skilled in event marketing, planning, and execution.
Demonstrated ability to use Google products and Dutchie reports.
Possess excellent organizational, prioritization, and project management skills.
Demonstrates strong attention to detail.
Demonstrates exceptional verbal and written communication.
Motivated and passionate about learning.
Able to communicate and make positive contributions to the marketing team.
Able to communicate effectively with a diverse audience.
Able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Able to work weekends or evenings as job demands (i.e., events).
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience collaborating across departments to achieve a common goal.
Experience with conflict resolution.
Experience working in a regulated environment.
Knowledge of the cannabis industry is required for this position, but extremely desirable.
Physical Requirements:
The Field Marketing Specialist is required to sit or stand at a desk for long periods of time, working on a computer; or stand at events for long periods of time, in various conditions and climates. The Field Marketing Specialist must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 25 pounds frequently; and may be required to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Schedule
Generally, the schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 9 am – 5 pm. However, days and hours of work may vary, depending on events and other schedule demands. This position requires some scheduling flexibility, where evening and weekend work will be required to support off-hour events and activities, as the schedule demands.
Travel
Frequent travel between locations within the region, and occasional travel to other regions may be required.
