Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Farmers Market and Event Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will help manage our stall at farmers markets and various events, ensuring that our kombucha products are presented attractively and that customers have a positive experience. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people and is passionate about healthy living and high-quality products.

Experience working at farmers markets and/or food truck events is required.
The role involves several physically demanding tasks, including setting up vendor tents, transporting bottles and ice coolers, and traveling between counties throughout the day. We need to understand if you are confident in handling these responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with setting up and taking down the market booth.
Handle product sales and provide excellent customer service.
Restock and organize merchandise as needed.
Pick up bottles or other supplies using a personal vehicle when required.
Label products accurately and ensure proper packaging.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Follow safety and hygiene regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Interaction: Greet customers warmly, provide product information, and answer any questions they may have about our kombucha offerings.
Sales and Promotion: Assist with product sales, including handling cash transactions and maintaining accurate sales records.
Product Display: Set up and maintain an organized and visually appealing stall, including arranging products, signage, and promotional materials.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, restock products as needed, and ensure that all items are fresh and properly displayed.
Event Setup and Breakdown: Help with the setup and breakdown of the stall at various events and farmers markets, ensuring all equipment and materials are transported safely and efficiently.

The candidate must have a car and be able to travel to the locations where the farmers’ markets and festivals are held. They should be able to load the goods and deliver the materials at the end of the day.

Additionally, the role will require sales activities and the use of programs like Square for transaction management. We would like to know if you believe you can manage these tasks independently.

Compliance and Cleanliness: Adhere to health and safety regulations, keep the stall clean and sanitary, and ensure that all products meet quality standards.

Qualifications:

Experience working at farmers markets and/or food truck events is required.
Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred but not required. Experience in farmers markets or food-related events is a plus.
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and provide excellent service.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage tasks efficiently, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move equipment and products, set up displays, and work on your feet for extended periods.
Passion: A genuine interest in kombucha and healthy living, with a positive and energetic attitude.
