Charlotte Knights Communications Assistant
DESCRIPTION
Supervisor: Dir, Communications
The Communications Assistant is a seasonal position that runs from March – September, assisting the Director of Communications in many areas, including the creation of baseball content, game day materials and much more.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Compile daily game notes for press box and media distribution
Write game recaps for official website, social media and media
Create baseball content for website and social media, including player features, game highlights and more
Write content for gameday program, media guide, & other club publications
Assist with press box preparation, including posting lineups in a timely manner, making sure all materials are accessible to media on game days
Manage and arrange photos in folders for easy viewing
Assist in the coordination of player interviews with media
Additional duties as assigned by Dir, Communications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Strong communication and writing skills are highly preferred
At least one year of related experience in a communications setting
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite products and Microsoft programs
Website content and social media management experience
Highest level of professionalism with enthusiastic and positive attitude
Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to multi-task
