We are a small, family-owned, SaaS, EdTech company seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales and Marketing Manager to lead our sales initiatives and marketing strategies. This role is crucial in driving business growth, enhancing brand visibility, and maximizing revenue through effective sales techniques and innovative marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education technology sales, business development, and B2B marketing, with a passion for achieving targets and building lasting client relationships.

Due to budget constraints, this position will start as a part-time, contractual position with the goal of generating enough new revenue to sustain itself as a full-time position. In addition to a base hourly wage, it will also include recurring commission on annual subscriptions. Equity compensation is also available.

Duties will include:

Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company objectives.
Identify new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and market research.
Manage sales efforts to expand the customer base and increase market share.
Negotiate contracts and close deals with potential clients to drive revenue growth.
Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.

Skills

Proven experience in sales management, particularly in education technology or B2B environments.
Strong upselling skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent cold calling techniques with the ability to engage potential clients effectively.
Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and customer preferences.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
