Job Overview
The Visalia Farmers Market Association is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Farmers Market Manager. This role involves both hands-on assistance at the farmers market on Saturdays and occasional support in our local Visalia office. Duties:
Market Day Support:
Assist with setting up and taking down cones, signs, and other market materials.
Work at the Market Manager’s booth, providing information and support to vendors and customers.
Ensure a smooth and organized market experience for all participants.
Help with the setup of a certified farmers market
Administrative Support:
Be available to work a few hours during the week at our local office in Visalia as needed.
Manage the community booths at the farmers market.
Assist with clerical tasks and general office duties.
Experience in billing vendors preffered
Additional Tasks:
Manage and update maps for the certified farmers market.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Availability to work every Saturday starting at 6:00 AM.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift and carry materials as needed for market setup.
Willingness to work both outdoors at the market and indoors at the office.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience or willingness to learn map management for a certified farmers market.
Marketing experience.
Spanish.
Compensation:
Hourly wage based on experience.
