SUMMARY:
The Business Coordinator I – Marketing, under general supervision, creates and coordinates marketing and social media initiatives, as well as complex administrative support work. The Business Coordinator I- Marketing will contribute to the overall mission of the Counseling Center by providing direct assistance and support to students and licensed mental health staff.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs, coordinates, and maintains departmental marketing and social media initiatives. Designs flyers and collateral material for outreach and special events. Assists the professional clinical staff in the delivery of collateral material for events and programming and infographic reports.
Greets visitors, answers and screens calls, provides information and referrals, and schedules appointments.
Works in conjunction with other administrative staff to provide reception service, greet and check in clients upon arrival, and telephone answering.
Assist with multifaceted processes related to busy mental health clinic settings and provide administrative support and project management for the center
Process, maintain, and organize confidential student mental health files. Manage psychiatric provider’s appointment schedule.
Maintains a variety of fiscal, administrative, and academic records. Posts information to agency records and modifies forms or records. Verifies, processes, and reviews forms, reports, and other documents. Oversees the proper and secure maintenance of student files/records.
Performs word processing, desktop publishing, presentation, and data management activities. Composes correspondence, reports, publications, and presentations, including editing and proofreading. Creates and maintains spreadsheets, databases, and websites.
Works in conjunction with other administrative staff to provide reception service, greet and check in clients upon arrival, and telephone answering.
Researches and analyzes administrative requirements for specific programs or projects. Provides technical information regarding administrative procedures, services, or programs.
Makes arrangements for meetings, appointments, conferences, and travel. May set up meetings, seminars, and other special events to include facilities, equipment, and food.
Maintains office supplies and equipment. Maintains office reference materials including online office materials. May deliver, pick up, or receive documents, supplies, equipment, or materials.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Two (2) years of related experience including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, traditional and digital marketing content creation, and social media management.
Ability to: Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

PREFERRED EDUCATION / SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:
Degree preferred. Administrative support experience in higher education. Knowledge of and experience with FAMIS/Canopy, AggieBuy, WordPress, Canva, Outlook, and Banner.
