Business Development Manager

Type of Position: Salaried / Exempt

Reports To: Assistant General Manager

Job Summary:

Directly lead the company’s business development efforts to ensure that Bergen Cable Technology achieves consistent revenue growth. Accountable for all Customer Service operations.

Essential Job Functions:

· Ensure customer satisfaction by managing customer communications, updates, quoting, and order confirmation

· Enhance client and co-worker relationships: partner with other department leaders to provide input on initiatives, resolve issues, and execute business objectives

· Lead and manage at least one direct report in the Sales Department

· Lead the development and execution of the company’s Business Development Strategy to ensure consistent revenue growth through further leveraging existing markets, capturing new markets, and/or developing new products.

· Leverage innovative ways to capture market intelligence from various research sources and customer communication channels.

· Provide market analysis and strategic direction backed with data to promote company growth and profit.

· Prepare and present powerful and persuasive sales presentations that effectively promote Bergen Cable Technology.

· Structure, recruit, train, and coach the Sales department in order to maximize collaboration, accountability, and efficiency.

· Define, implement, and track key Sales and Marketing metrics and consistently meet or exceed them.

· Establish and maintain exceptional relationships with strategic customers and industry stakeholders.

· Analyze overall customer experience in order to identify gaps and collaborate with necessary functions (Customer Service, Marketing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, etc.) to improve customer satisfaction.

· Develop targeted marketing campaigns to announce new products, promote brand image, and solicit new opportunities.

· Experience in working with senior management to align strategic vision with tactical execution

· Ability to independently coordinate and direct Sales and Marketing department functions

· Knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and HR)

· Strong MS Office Skills

· Ability to travel domestically and internationally to support trade shows, customer visits, and industry standards meetings

· Ability to analyze, explain, and solve problems with minimal or no direction

Education and/or Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field required

· Master’s Degree preferred

· Minimum of 5 years of Sales and Marketing Management experience required

· Experience working in a Manufacturing Business preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
