About the Role

We seek an entrepreneurial and results-orientedbusiness head to lead and scale HerbYvore’s efforts to becomea leading plant-based brand in Asia and the Middle East. This role involves overseeing research and development, manufacturing, distribution, sales and marketing, and the associated team members. Sales involves identifying key products and target markets to focus on across the retail and food service sectors. The role will be reporting to Agrocorp’s CEO. The ideal candidate should be someone who has previously launched their food-tech startup or an innovative food brand within a corporation and has been able to scale it up to achieve sales and distribution across multiple geographies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:

Develop and execute the overall strategy for HerbYvore, including market expansion and brand positioning in Singapore and international markets.

Lead business development efforts by identifying new opportunities in HORECA, retail, and FMCG sectors.

Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, food service partners, and other key stakeholders.

Directly managing a few key sales accounts and effectively managing the sales team and process

Being responsible for the annual operating budget for the brand, including revenue growth and costs of operations

2. Marketing & Brand Management:

Working with the sales and marketing team to manage the launch and promotion of HerbYvore products, ensuring consistent and impactful branding.

Manage marketing budgets, including advertising, promotions, trade shows, and digital campaigns.

Work closely with the digital marketing team to plan and execute social media strategies that enhance brand visibility and engagement.

3. Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management:

Leading the manufacturing team to ensure that HerbYvore’s manufacturing set-up is being optimized for cost efficiency

Working with operations to ensure that logistics and supply chain efficiency is in place for HerbYvore’s products

Guiding the R&D process to ensure that product formulations, for both new and existing products, are optimized for cost, flavor, and nutrition.

4. Team Leadership & Development:

Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team

Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability.

Requirements

Experience in scaling up a novel food brand

Success with entering and managing large customer accounts

Intimate knowledge of the food sectors in key Asian and Middle East markets

Effective team leader
