Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Competitive Intelligence expert to join our team. This role supports Personal Systems in making strategic decisions for Long-Term Planning (LTP), helping to ensure it stays competitive and adaptable in a rapidly changing business landscape. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and disseminating competitive intelligence to support strategic decision-making and enhance our market position. The role will partner closely with senior manager and above to drive high-impact initiatives
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Conduct comprehensive competitive analysis to identify market trends, competitor strategies, and potential threats, with a primary focus on the commercial segment (Government, Enterprise, SMB, and Education)
Identify growth opportunities and potential competitive threats, providing actionable recommendations to influence PS long-term strategy planning and decision-making
Leverage AI and machine learning techniques to enhance competitive intelligence processes and outcomes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, customer insight, and business planning, to integrate competitive insights into product development, marketing, and strategic business planning
Act as an advanced subject expert, providing guidance and mentorship to team members
Create detailed reports, visualizations, and presentations to convey competitive insights to the senior management team
Education & Experience Recommended
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
10+ years of experience of proven track record in competitive analysis or a related field within the PC or technology industry
Required Knowledge & Skills
Advanced subject matter expert on competitive intelligence with experience in the commercial sector, preferably in the PC industry
Deep understanding of the technology industry, market dynamics, technological advancements, relationships with strategic partners, and ecosystem
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into strategic insights
Experience in utilizing AI and machine learning for competitive analysis and strategic planning preferred
Familiarity with competitive intelligence data sources (IDC, NPD, and other relevant sources) and tools such as Power BI
Ability to engage with and influence executives, providing strategic insights and recommendations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English
