Here’s a summary of responsibilities:
The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) is looking for an experienced brand strategist to lead the integration of the Team USA brand across all philanthropic marketing, advertising, athlete engagement, social, digital and direct marketing efforts. The Manager, Brand Strategy – Philanthropy will play a pivotal role in infusing the Team USA brand ethos, identity, narratives and values across fan-facing philanthropic efforts in coordination with the United States Olympic & Paralympic Foundation (USOPF).
The ideal candidate has a passion for unlocking philanthropic potential to support and impact Olympic & Paralympic hopeful athletes to empower their competitive excellence and well-being. This role will be pivotal in driving emotional connection and deeper engagement with our fans, championing the power of sport, and inspiring the nation to consider giving to the Team USA Fund. Qualified candidates will have excellent collaboration, organizational, and influence management skills and the ability to seamlessly lead large working teams across internal stakeholders and agency partners. Here’s how you ‘ll have an impact:
Serve as a Team USA brand strategy expert, partnering with the USOPF to infuse brand ethos, identity, narrative, and messaging across creative, content, fan, and donor engagement and campaign planning.
Create a streamlined messaging strategy across Team USA Fund and Foundation donor campaigns to establish consistency and drive loyalty with target audiences, keeping them engaged “flame-to-flame” between the Games windows.
Serve as cross-functional team lead to enhance collaboration between Brand & Fan Engagement and Foundation teams.
Collaborate closely with USOPF teammates to set a clear brand strategy for philanthropic efforts and campaigns that support the USOPF goals and objectives while adhering to the overall Team USA brand strategy.
Guide and manage the brand, content, and creative review and feedback process to enhance alignment and efficiency across Brand & Fan Engagement and Foundation teams.
Partner with the Content Strategy Specialist – Philanthropy to leverage athlete impact storytelling to maximize awareness and engagement with fans. Determine key moments and opportunities on the content calendar to create a seamless, integrated approach across Brand & Fan Engagement and Foundation efforts.
Collaborate on Team USA Fund and Foundation annual strategic plan and brand briefs to drive philanthropic brand, media, creative and content approach. Provide ongoing consultative support to key Foundation agency teams.
Consistently evaluate consumer research and findings in partnership with USOPP Consumer Insights & Analytics team and frequently recommend optimizations based on learnings.
Maintain high visual identity standards across all philanthropic marketing efforts, partnering with the Creative Design Specialist – Philanthropy to create consistency across creative executions.
Collaborate with USOPF, Finance, and Brand & Fan Engagement teams to manage budget for philanthropic brand, content, and creative projects effectively.

Here are the skills and experience you’ll need to be effective:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field or equivalent work experience
3-5 years of experience in Brand Strategy, Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Fan Engagement, or similar field
Experience managing large-scale, multi-channel campaigns from brief to execution and deliver superior results to stakeholders
Experience working with national non-profit brands preferred
Strong affinity to Olympic and Paralympic values preferred
Sports experience or knowledge in the field of Olympic, Paralympic, and/or National Governing Body sports a plus

Here’s some more information you need to know:
Hiring pay range: $62,672- $79,593 Per year
This Full-Time, Exempt position is intended to work 40 hours per week.
Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program, which has a 15% target. The USOPC may change or eliminate this program at any time at its sole discretion.
