Roles and responsibilities
The
Advancement
Strategic
Communication
Officer will play a pivotal role in coordinating andexecuting comprehensive fundraising and
communication
strategies toadvance the university’s strategic goals. Reportingdirectly to the Director of
Advancement
and Alumni Affairs, thisposition requires a strategic thinker with excellent communicationskills and a
proven track record
in integrated communicationstrategy development.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement a cohesive,multi-channel external
communication
strategy focused on engagingdonors and alumni.
Ensure alignment ofcommunication efforts across the university, presenting Ajman University positively to externalstakeholders.
Liaise closely with theuniversity’s strategic
communication
unit to fostersynergy and amplify messagingmomentum.
Actively participate infundraising-related multimedia streaming events to enhance donorengagement and support.
Collaborate withvarious stakeholders including administration, academic units, anddevelopment officers to align fundraising efforts with universitypriorities.
Conduct fundraising-related marketresearch to gather insights relevant to Ajman University’s fundraisinggoals.
Provide recommendations based onsectoral trends and institutional information to optimize donortargeting and segmentation.
Assist in donorsegmentation based on market research andreconnaissance.
Prepare fundraising proposalsas required to support different fundraising products andcampaigns.
Support the Director of Advancementand Alumni Affairs with administrative duties and ad-hoc tasks asassigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND
EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in masscommunications or a related field.
Provenexperience (5+ years) in strategic communications, preferably in ahigher
education
setting.
Applicant mustdemonstrate processionary in writing in both languages (Arabic& English) Desired candidate profile Excellent
communication
and interpersonalskills to engage effectively with diversestakeholders.
Strategic thinking andproblem-solving abilities to navigate complex fundraisinglandscapes.
Project management
skills tocoordinate multifaceted
communication
campaigns and fundraisinginitiatives.
Ability to work collaboratively ina
team-oriented
environment while demonstrating initiative andautonomy.
Strong organizational skills withattention to detail and ability to prioritize taskseffectively.
Demonstrated success in developingand implementing integrated communicationstrategies.
Proficiency in multimedia contentdevelopment and digital tools.
Knowledge offundraising principles and practices is an advantage.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work isnormally performed in a typical interior/office workenvironment.
No or very limited physical effortis required.
No or very limited exposure tophysical risk.
The position may entail workafter duty hours, on weekends, on holidays, and in emergencies(i.e. may be subject to “on-call”responsibilities).
