Job Summary

We are looking for a part-time (approximately 5 to 10 hours per week), Marketing and Events Coordinator to support external marketing of the organization and event planning for in-person training events. Specifically, this person will collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer to develop a monthly marketing content calendar inclusive of social media, pay-per-click advertising and email marketing content. The Marketing and Events Coordinator will engage with customers online and via email to support sales and registration for in-person training events; in addition to supporting event logistics (e.g., venues, catering, IT support, promotional swag and campaigns).

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Content Strategy (10% of time). Implementing strategies to increase visibility and sales for Hess III Consulting. This includes developing a monthly content calendar including social media, pod casts and email marketing campaigns.
Content Creation (20% of time). Based on skills and experience, directly responsible or coordinating vendors for creating content including film, photography, graphic design and video editing content for social media; including digital print and video media. Use artificial intelligence to create blogs and email marketing campaigns, writing press releases etc.
Special Event Coordination for Live Trainings (20% of time) Responsible to identify venues, reviewing venue contracts and presenting requirements to CEO, coordinating logistics, including parking, check-in, catering etc.
Promotional Marketing. (20% of time) Responsible to identify opportunities to enhance the favorable visibility of the brand (e.g. conference presentations, media interviews etc.), order and distribute promotional branded merchandise (e.g., swag) and campaigns (e.g., time-limited discounts, coupons etc.) to increase registrations for live-trainings.
Customer Service. (30% of time). Directly respond to customer inquiries on social media, via email and telephone. Perform lead qualification interviews to identify customer needs. Provide exceptional customer service to support training registration and retention. Collect customer satisfaction surveys, quotes, and feedback in writing, and via video with consent for use in subsequent promotional efforts.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School diploma required.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of professional experience in corporate communications; communications in health and human services preferred.
Spanish speaking preferred.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Must excel in time management, organizational skills and planning.
Software: advanced knowledge of Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Compensation:

$18 – $22/hour
This is not an employment opportunity, it is for a 1099-independent contractor only.
