Due to growth within our company, MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to work as a Regional Discipline Director, overseeing the speech department in several of our neighborhood pediatric therapy centers!
Serving as Director of a discipline service line, across the entire organization or assigned regions, the Regional Discipline Director is responsible for end-to-end oversight of their assigned discipline in relation to quality, scope, appropriateness, efficiency, and effectiveness of their discipline. The Discipline Director provides administrative leadership in developing, implementing, and supporting distinctive and marketable high quality, effective and efficient clinical programming.

MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy provides services at our therapy centers across Southeast Michigan as well as staffing services for special education and healthcare facilities across the state. Our unique strategy to assist others involves many therapy disciplines in one location, creating ease for caregivers of children that may need this approach to succeed. Our services include ABA Therapy, Feeding/Swallowing Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy. Affordable screenings for Speech-Language development, fine & gross motor development, sensory impairment, and autism are also offered.
Job Duties:
Lead the development and growth of discipline programming and future business planning.
Responsible for the overall discipline performance and productivity.
Oversight of discipline specific department staffing.
Educate and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, standards, policies, procedures, practices as required by payors, state regulations, and discipline specific accrediting organizations.
Development and maintenance of Policies & Procedures, Best Practices, Orientation & Training Materials with interdisciplinary collaboration of company leaders.
Coordination of graduate student placements and student internship programming.
Development and oversight of competency of clinicians for clinical treatment, documentation, best practices, billing practices, and policies and procedures.
Provide ongoing feedback regarding performance, improvements, and expectations.
Provide ongoing Leadership development training and mentoring to Clinic Directors, Managers and Leads.
Identify discipline specific and company-wide needs for equipment, education, and therapy materials, capital budget items and ensure efficient use of resources and that all applicable expenses are within budget.
Responsible for accurate and appropriate discipline specific billing practices and trends.
Responsible for departmental level profit and loss, maintains department level budget.
Speech Language Pathology Directors will provide mentorship for Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellows and/or provide training to Clinical Fellowship Mentors within the company.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Licensed in the State of MI to practice Speech Therapy
10+ years of experience as a practicing clinician, including 3+ years of supervisory experience and 3+ years of program development experience.
Working knowledge of the Principles and Practices of OT/PT/SLP/ ABA, Nutrition and Mental Health Services, etc. , the re/habilitative process, payor rules and regulations, discipline specific Code of Ethics, Best Practices Guidelines, Standards of Practice, practice trends, and billing.
Ability to drive a company culture that is interdisciplinary, collaborative, client- centered and focused on the highest quality of services while maintaining a flexible and positive attitude.
Business process and project management experience related to the development, implementation and evaluation of programs using various project management tools and techniques.
Experience with program development, financial management, marketing, and relationship building, strategic planning, and change management.
Must be an accomplished multi-disciplinary team-leader and team-builder with a hands-on style and a strong ability to teach, coach and develop strong clinical, professional, communication, leadership, and customer service skills in others.

Achievable productivity requirements that yield high payout of productivity bonus
Salary:
$105,000-$115,000
Bonus Potential up to $12,000 annually
Schedule:
Full-time, 40-45 hours per week
Monday-Friday, typically, 9am-6pm
May have some flexibility with scheduling
