Position Overview
As the Development & Communications Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the LCCL’s fundraising and communications strategies. Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director of Operations, this full-time, remote position collaborates with the Executive Team to:
Increase and diversify funding streams.
Elevate the organization’s recognition and visibility.
Build a culture of philanthropy.
What You’ll Do
Development (50%)
Develop and manage a fundraising strategy to cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate, foundation, and private donors.
Support grant proposals for government funding.
Collaborate with the Executive Team to build and strengthen relationships with funders.
Oversee and maintain donor tracking systems.
Communications (50%)
Create and execute a communications plan to tell the LCCL’s story and amplify our impact.
Develop content and oversee publications, social media, website, and promotional materials.
Build and sustain a strong organizational brand while maintaining the integrity of LCCL’s identity.
Lead media strategy and response efforts.
Capacity Building
Create training resources for grassroots nonprofits to enhance their fundraising and communications efforts.
Support Community Partners in preparing for public speaking and other visibility opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
At least five years of experience in nonprofit resource development or communications.
Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
Strong interpersonal and writing skills.
Experience with Squarespace, WordPress, or similar platforms is a plus.
Preference for individuals with lived or shared experience in justice-impacted or marginalized communities.

Location and Compensation
This remote role is open to candidates in California, Colorado, Maryland, and Oregon.
The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Our salary at the Latino Coalition for Community Leadership will be based on skills, education, and experience, as well as pay equity and internal equity of current team members. The mentioned range is the full hiring range, and hiring at the maximum is not typical to allow for future salary growth.
