OVERVIEW

As Content Creator and Social Media Coordinator, you’ll manage social media platforms, create engaging content, and showcase the Museum’s exhibitions, events, and progress on its building repair process. You’ll collaborate with teams across the organization to tell compelling stories, foster connections, and grow our digital audience locally, nationally, and globally.

Location: Fully based in Ponce.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Salary Range: $30,000 – $40,000 (based on experience).

Full-time, exempt position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and implement a digital content strategy to build audiences and increase engagement.

Manage social media accounts, ensuring a consistent and engaging brand voice.

Collaborate with various departments to craft stories for newsletters, reports, and digital channels.

Develop social media campaigns that highlight the Museum’s building repair and fundraising efforts.

Curate and produce short-form videos, graphics, and written content.

Monitor social media trends and assess analytics to refine strategies.

Ensure sponsor recognition and compliance with intellectual property rights in digital content.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media or related field.

2+ years of experience in digital content creation and social media management (cultural or non-profit experience is a plus).

Bilingual (English & Spanish), with strong copywriting skills.

Available to work evenings and weekends for events and on-site activities.

Familiarity with Constant Contact, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and social media platforms.

Extraordinary interpersonal skills and business etiquette.

WHO WE ARE

Through access to art-based experiences, the Museo de Arte de Ponce pursues to promote discovery, stimulate curiosity, and foster dialogue to enhance the life of its community. Founded by Luis A. Ferré (1904-2003), the Museum opened its doors to the public on January 3, 1959, in a colonial house in Ponce, Puerto Rico. In 1965, the building that is home today to the Museum was designed by the renowned architect Edward Durell Stone. An Annex Building was added in 2010 to expand its facilities and services to the community. The collection of the Museum consists of approximately 4,500 works of art and is renowned for its great examples of Baroque, Pre-Raphaelite and Victorian paintings as well as Puerto Rican and Latin American art.

Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums since 1987, the Museo de Arte de Ponce has become an essential institution for the educational development and social transformation of our communities.
