Activated Scale, a Techstars portfolo company, is a platform that connects startup founders to experienced US-based Fractional Sales professionals. We help startups access top sales professionals, and drive portfolio growth for VC’s and technical founders. Our pre-vetted and US-based talent pool includes fractional SDR’s, AE’s, Sales Operations and VP Sales talent.
This is a fractional role for a Growth Marketer on a 1099 contract. This is not a strategic role, we need you to do the work!
We’re looking for a B2B Growth Marketer who innately understands how people buy today AND is a teacher at heart. You understand that even in B2B, we’re marketing to real people who spend their days scrolling social media, and are driven by both emotional and data-driven evidence.
In this role you will continue building on our foundation with consistent execution and fresh ideas. You need to be flexible enough to work across multiple marketing disciplines. For example, one day, you might be managing social media channels; the next, you might optimize cold email campaigns; and another, you might improve SEO. We don’t expect you to be an expert across all of these channels, but we do expect you to have the marketing fundamentals and the experience to help us succeed.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive growth marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and drive traffic.
Manage a holistic paid/owned social media presence through engaging content that resonates with startup founders
Project manage the marketing calendar, all of its internal deliverables across different internal and freelance teams
Create and optimize email nurture campaigns throughout the prospect lifecycle
Improve our organic digital marketing traffic and lead conversion using SEO, website optimization, and content as needed
Manage and optimize digital marketing campaigns across platforms including social media, email, and Google Ads.
Create compelling content for various channels, including website copy, blog posts, and social media updates.
Utilize analytics tools to track campaign performance and generate reports on key metrics.
Maintain the company website using Webflow, ensuring content is up-to-date and optimized for SEO.
Design engaging graphics and visuals for marketing materials.
Coordinate with freelance creators and agencies to produce high-quality marketing assets
Track and report on key marketing metrics, providing insights to improve campaign performance
Partner closely with sales team to optimize lead handoff and ensure marketing initiatives align with sales goals
Skills
5+ years of B2B marketing experience, preferably with a Services business
Demonstrated success growing engagement on social media, with ability to show examples of personal or professional social media impact
Strong analytical mindset with ability to derive reasonable insights using evidence all of sorts
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with marketing technology stack including: Email marketing platforms, Hubspot, Webflow, Social media management tools
Project management skills with ability to coordinate multiple campaigns and stakeholders
Resourceful – You’re great at figuring things out!
