Position Summary
Atlanta United is seeking a Coordinator, Brand Marketing & Fan Engagement to play a key role in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring brand consistency across club channels, supporting the growth and increasing visibility of youth soccer programs, assisting in retail executions and storytelling and helping to bring physical events to life on marketing channels and digital platforms.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Brand Marketing & Fan Engagement, this position will sit within the Integrated Marketing department of the club and ensure brand consistency in execution across integrated marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will be passionate about storytelling, soccer, culture and will serve as a key contributor in maintaining alignment and integration across departments to drive and grow fandom and support the club’s connection to the city of Atlanta.
Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure brand alignment across Integrated Marketing campaigns through consistent execution among channels including but not limited to email, web, social, digital, advertising, paid media, SMS, and more
Assist in copy writing and creation of language guide for use across all club channels, including website content, social media posts, email, in-stadium, and other marketing materials
Develop and implement strategies to increase visibility and generate interest in youth soccer programs, including supporting storytelling initiatives that showcase the impact of youth soccer in the community
Assist in retail execution and storytelling from ideation to production to launch, including product creation, creative photoshoots, digital strategy and asset distribution
Work cross-functionally to support bringing physical events and initiatives to life in the digital space and on club platforms
Collaborate with the Integrated Marketing department along with cross-functional teams including Retail, Media Production, Ticketing, Corporate Partnerships, Creative and more to ensure cohesive brand messaging
Support in strengthening fan touchpoints, optimizing existing media channels, and growing the scale and efficiency of Integrated Marketing efforts to drive revenue and increase fan engagement
Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities to implement best practices among marketing and communication efforts
Maintain and uphold the Atlanta United brand identity in all Integrated Marketing efforts
Qualifications, Skills, and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training or experience required.
2+ years of experience in marketing, digital media, communications, or related field ideally within sports, entertainment, and/or agency
Excellent writing and proof-reading skills, including superior attention to detail.
Previous experience working for an entertainment or sports brand; working with celebrities, talent, or athletes.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evening and weekends, to accommodate matchdays and special events.
Familiarity with digital marketing KPIs and use their findings for communication and campaign planning.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, experience in dealing with multiple and diverse internal stakeholders, and interacting with business partners.
Knowledge and passion for sports, specifically Major League Soccer, and an understanding of the Atlanta United fan base and market is a plus
