We are looking for a Volunteer Fundraising Coordinator who can assist us on a part-time basis (6-9 hours a week) to accomplish the following:
Research online sources, such as candid.org and other philanthropic charities.
Reach out to local businesses, authorities, and individuals to spread STFT’s mission to encourage donations
Developing, designing, and producing promotional materials. Help raise awareness of the organization’s work, goals, and financial needs.
Create an initiative to receive fundraising from not only large philanthropic organizations but also the public.
Qualifications
Fundraising Knowledge: A well-rounded understanding of fundraising, as well as keeping up to date with fundraising trends.
Education/Experience: 2-3 years of fundraising experience. A bachelor’s degree will be considered an asset.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Relationship building is key. A willingness to learn and understand our cause and the ability to communicate the organization’s cause to potential donors.
Organizational Skills: Accuracy and attention to detail, excellent time management, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Interpersonal Skills: The ability to form a strong rapport with fellow colleagues.Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
