Responsibilities
Actively hunting new sales opportunities to achieve stipulated sales target set by PSA BDP
Proactive approach to generate leads through various channels such as cold calling, conference, networking events, and referrals to expand customer base.
Knowledgeable for freight forwarding transportation, contract logistics, and multimodal solution selling.
Work closely with cross-functional teams in the PSA BDP
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including shippers, freight forwarders, manufacturers, and distributors.
Understand customers’ needs and develop customized solutions to meet their transportation and logistics requirements.
Input and timely update of sales activities utilizing CRM system and build up healthy pipeline
Provide regular sales reports and updates to management.
Drive and lead RFQ process
Pre-requisites
Tertiary qualifications with minimum 3 years’ sales/business development experience in Logistics/Freight-forwarding.
Solid and demonstrated working knowledge of the Freight Forwarding Industry.
Effective verbal and written communications in English and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate with clients, carriers, other forwarders, vendors.
Ability to research, identify, tackle, grow and close business opportunities ensuring the needed support from product and operations.
Results-driven, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Great negotiation, consultative and relationship management skills.
Ability to manage priorities, be organized, methodical and deal well under pressure. shows.
