We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in our new coffee shop Downtown. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service, and an eagerness to build the business. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. This position requires strong time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The shop is a family business with few employees, so there will be lots of time flying solo.

Amp Artisan is a concept created by Justyn Davidson and Jamie Brown, two coffee enthusiasts who combine to bring a wealth of creative, musical, technical, marketing, and of course food service experience to the table.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
Operate the POS (Square).
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas.
Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies; restock as necessary.
Adhere to food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Engage with customers to create a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
Requirements
At least 2 years previous experience in craft coffee.
Solid knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build relationships with regulars.
Excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
Familiarity with POS systems.
A commitment to maintaining food safety standards in all aspects of food and drink preparation and service.
Must be reliable and responsible.
Must be able to work 30-40 hours a week, primarily weekdays.
