OverviewSageSure is looking for a Creative Director to lead a team of designers, copywriters, and storytellers to push our dynamic brand forward. This key role on the Brand & Creative team will ensure creative—across all branding and marketing materials, campaigns, projects, and channels—meets strategic business objectives and the high standards of our brand.

The ideal candidate has a natural eye for design and leverages the rhetorical power of words and visuals to compel action. They will also be a gifted mentor who can flex from providing constructive, actionable feedback to inspiring new ideas and explorations. Key Responsibilities

Spearhead the creative strategy, direction, and concepts of any given project, from ideation to production, to translate complex ideas into compelling materials and digital experiences for a variety of audiences.

Lead, help develop, and review creative work for all web, print, and digital marketing collateral to ensure deliverables address marketing goals and challenges effectively.

Oversee the presentation of final concepts.

Collaborate with Sr. Director of Brand Marketing and lead designer to develop new brand templates, libraries, and assets.

Collaborate with Digital, Go-to-Market, and Internal Communications teams to develop marketing plans and campaigns, analyze results, and identify opportunities.

Manage and mentor an in-house team of creative talent, providing constructive and actionable feedback to nurture growth and learning.

Manage and lead freelance designers and agency partners in developing strong creative that elevates our brand.

Optimize and standardize creative intake and discovery processes.

Analyze brand performance, market trends, audience needs, and the competitor landscape.

Meet budget requirements by forecasting and managing expenses.

Skills & Experience

10 years of relevant experience, with seven or more years leading creative in an agency or corporate setting.

Proven experience leading a cross-functional team of graphic designers, copywriters, videographers, and project managers in the strategic development of creative deliverables.

Strong creative vision that supports business objectives and leverages competitive analysis and research.

A professional portfolio that demonstrates an ability to develop successful concepts and creative strategy across marketing channels.

Experience creating marketing/advertising campaigns—from concept to production—within budget.

Exemplary written and verbal communication skills and executive presentation skills; familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS).

Exceptional ability to think both strategically and tactically.

Excellent project management skills and experience managing cross-functional projects.

Ability to thrive, adapt, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Highly Preferred Skills

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, fine arts, marketing, advertising, or related creative discipline.

Experience as a copywriter, graphic designer, or production artist.

Experience in project management with a focus on creative direction.

Experience working in insurance or other highly regulated industries.

Experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe After Effects, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Google Ads.
