ZTE Omni Trucking is seeking an experienced Vice President of Sales to lead and drive the company’s sales strategy and performance. This senior leadership role will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of sales initiatives, managing the sales team, and ensuring the company achieves its revenue goals. The VP of Sales will work closely with other executives to align sales strategies with business objectives, and drive market penetration, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership within the trucking, logistics, or transportation industry, with expertise in developing sales strategies, leading high-performing sales teams, and driving significant revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy Development: Lead the development and execution of the company’s sales strategy, aligning it with ZTE Omni Trucking’s overall business goals. Identify new business opportunities, target markets, and customer segments to drive revenue growth.
Sales Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team. Establish clear sales targets and performance expectations, while providing guidance and support to ensure the team meets or exceeds goals. Develop the team through training, coaching, and professional development.
Revenue Growth & Market Penetration: Drive the company’s revenue growth by developing and expanding key customer relationships, improving sales performance, and ensuring strong market penetration across target regions.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and business partners. Understand client needs and work closely with the operations and logistics teams to ensure the highest level of service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Monitor sales performance through metrics and KPIs. Provide regular reports to the executive team on sales results, trends, and market opportunities. Lead the forecasting process to ensure accurate sales projections and resource allocation.
Sales Process Optimization: Implement sales processes and methodologies to ensure consistent lead generation, qualification, and closing of deals. Streamline the sales cycle to improve efficiency, close rates, and customer retention.
Pricing & Contract Negotiation: Oversee pricing strategies and contract negotiations to ensure competitive and profitable deals. Develop strategies to effectively manage pricing for new and existing customers, while ensuring profitability.
Collaboration with Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure alignment between sales and marketing strategies. Leverage marketing campaigns, content, and leads to optimize sales efforts and improve customer acquisition.
Customer Retention & Upselling: Develop strategies for customer retention, ensuring that clients remain satisfied and loyal. Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell services to existing customers, increasing overall revenue.
Market Intelligence: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and industry regulations. Use this information to adapt the sales strategy, identify new opportunities, and maintain a competitive edge.
Budget Management: Manage the sales department’s budget, allocating resources effectively to maximize ROI. Ensure the sales team has the tools and support necessary to achieve sales targets within budgetary constraints.

Qualifications:

Experience: Proven experience as a Vice President of Sales, Sales Director, or senior sales leadership role in the trucking, logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry. Strong background in managing large, complex sales teams and driving significant revenue growth.
Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse sales team. Strong track record in building high-performance teams and developing sales talent.
Sales Strategy Expertise: Strong expertise in developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth. Demonstrated experience in analyzing market opportunities, creating sales plans, and executing initiatives to increase market share.
Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the trucking, logistics, and transportation industries, including knowledge of market dynamics, customer needs, and industry trends.
Financial Acumen: Experience managing sales budgets and achieving revenue goals within budgetary constraints. Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems, sales tools, and analytics platforms. Proficient in using technology to optimize sales processes, track performance, and generate reports.
Negotiation & Closing Skills: Expertise in negotiating high-value contracts and closing complex sales deals. Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and ensure successful business outcomes.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Experience in B2B sales within the trucking, logistics, or supply chain industries.
Strong understanding of fleet management, freight logistics, and the challenges associated with transportation.
Proven success in managing sales teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
