About:
This company is a true innovator in their space having taken strong early funding and are now looking to extensively scale across the US; they have a standalone offering within their area of the AI world and are set up to be an out-and-out leader in the space.
The Role:
They are looking for their first dedicated Developer Community Engagement Manager to join their founding team. In this role, you’ll be influential in leading and enhancing their event strategy focused on technical and developer audiences. This position will be responsible for the comprehensive management of B2B developer events and webinars, covering planning, execution, and post-event evaluation. You will be instrumental in defining the brand’s presence and connecting with a technically adept audience.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Strategic event planning – design and execute an annual event strategy that aligns with company goals, prioritizing developer-focused and technical audiences.
Event Execution and Project Management – lead the planning and logistics for large-scale events, ensuring smooth and engaging attendee experiences.
Manage vendor selection, contract negotiations, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Content/program development – curate event agendas, select keynote speakers, and design interactive sessions that resonate with the developer community.
Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop integrated promotional campaigns across email, social media, and digital channels to drive event awareness and registrations.
Stakeholder/vendor management – foster relationships with sponsors, technology partners, community leaders, and other key stakeholders.
Develop and manage event budgets and track ROI, collect and analyze key metrics (attendance, engagement, leads, pipeline impact) to optimize future events and demonstrate their impact to leadership.
Post-event analysis – conduct post-event reviews with stakeholders to identify key learnings and areas for improvement.
What They’re Looking For:
5+ years’ experience in event coordination/management within the software/AI/Deep Tech space.
Familiarity with technical concepts and experience engaging with dev audiences (particularly conferences within the developer community).
Proven background managing multiple events at any one time while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Strong track record of leading teams as well as cross-functional team collaboration.
Highly skilled using relevant event management software, and prominent marketing platforms (e.g., Marketo, Hub Spot).
