MARKETING BRAND ASSOCIATE
Goya Foods, Inc., a leader in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry based in Jersey City, New Jersey, is looking for a candidate to join our Marketing Department and assume a supporting role in managing its master brand and its extensive product portfolio.
Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Brand Stewardship and Project Management:
a. Assist the Brand Team in the continual building of the Brand’s equity and market position
b. Work effectively with Trade Marketing, Sales and other internal functions, as well as outside agencies and vendors, to deliver against marketing goals and strategies and to ensure flawless execution
c. Help the Brand Managers in the preparation and communication of product sell stories to Trade Marketing and Sales to gain their commitment, build motivation and energize them in support of the brand and portfolio objectives
d. Contribute to the preparation of creative briefs for external agencies and other strategic partners
e. Support the Brand Team in the development and management of sampling, product placement and social influencer programs
f. Prepare and maintain the weekly status report to keep the Marketing Team up to date on on-going projects
2. Marketing Plan Development and Implementation:
a. Sift through market research/syndicated data, competitive trends, marketplace dynamics and consumer need gaps to help the Brand Team identify growth opportunities
b. Support the Brand Managers in the development and implementation of the annual marketing plans, utilizing a disciplined approach to follow through on tasks and activities
3. Administrative Support
Job Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree
· 2+ years of relevant marketing experience, preferably at another food industry CPG
· Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects within scheduled timelines
· Solid analytical skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Attentive to detail
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
· Advanced ability in Excel and PowerPoint
· Experience working with syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI) ideal
· Interest in working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Good Faith Estimate of Salary Range: $60,000 – $62,000
