Digital Marketing & Communications Administrator Jobs in Cambridge, MA at MIT

EFS Advisors, a money-management firm, and its sister company, Aviben, a benefits administration company, seek a Marketing Assistant to join our Marketing Team. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual who works well within a group as well as independently. This role focuses on managing administrative tasks, assisting with marketing initiatives, communicating with our financial advisors, and doing light graphic design work. The Marketing Assistant will report directly to the Director of Marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in the coordination and maintenance of marketing calendars, including campaigns and content schedules.

· Assist in tracking and managing project timelines, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and coordinating updates with stakeholders as needed.

· Assist with the creation and distribution of newsletters, emails, and other marketing communications.

· Help plan, implement, and monitor marketing campaigns.

· Assist with the production and maintenance of marketing materials and collateral.

· Support the organization and coordination of marketing events such as conferences, webinars, and trade shows.

· Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, scheduling, and document management.

· Help update and maintain a catalog of marketing materials.

· Perform light graphic design work for social media and marketing materials.

· Assist Director of Marketing with light video filming for social media.

· Help monitor and organize digital assets to ensure consistency across platforms.

· Collaborate with the Marketing Team on campaigns and initiatives.

· Work closely with other EFS Advisors and Aviben departments and advisors as needed.

· Assist in gathering and analyzing marketing data, such as social media engagement and email campaign performance.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field OR an Associate’s degree (2-year degree) in a relevant field AND equivalent experience / skills.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.

· Excellent communication and organizational skills.

· A proactive self-starter who works well independently and in a team.

· Previous experience in marketing or administrative roles is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

· Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite preferred).

· Experience managing social media accounts.

· Willingness to learn and develop marketing skills.

· Experience with social media video content creation (e.g., Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts).

· Data entry experience and strong attention to detail.

· Experience in Excel Spreadsheets.

· Experience in FMG Suite and Constant Contact a plus.

Starting Pay – $21 – $24 per hour based on experience.
