Job Title: Independent Contractor – Podcast & Social Media Manager for Business Restructuring Firm

A national Financial Advisory and Business Restructuring firm based in Houston, TX is looking for a Podcast & Social Media Manager to oversee the creation and production of a new podcast while driving engagement and brand awareness through social media. If you have a passion for business strategy, storytelling, videography and digital marketing, we’d love to hear from you!
Our firm focuses on helping organizations navigate financial and operational challenges to achieve stability and growth. This novel podcast will deliver expert insights on various trending topics in the world of business, bankruptcy, and thought leadership on business recovery, corporate strategy, and market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
Podcast Production & Management
· Oversee end-to-end production of our business podcast, ensuring high-quality content.
· Edit and enhance audio for clarity, consistency, and professionalism.
· Write compelling show notes, episode summaries, and timestamps.
· Coordinate guest interviews, scheduling, and research for episodes.
· Distribute episodes across major podcast platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, etc.).
Social Media Strategy & Content Creation
· Develop and execute a content strategy to promote the firm via podcast and other form of content.
· Create and schedule engaging posts across LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
· Design professional and engaging content (audiograms, short video clips, graphics if needed).
· Monitor industry trends and leverage timely topics for content creation.
· Engage with social media audience, respond to comments, and foster discussions.
Marketing & Brand Growth
· Implement strategies to grow podcast listenership and social media reach.
· Develop partnerships and collaborations to expand our audience.
· Track key performance metrics (engagement, downloads, reach) and optimize content strategy accordingly.
· Stay updated on trends in business restructuring and bankruptcies, and digital marketing to align content with industry conversations.
What We’re Looking For:
· Experience in podcast production, editing, and publishing.
· Strong interest and knowledge of leading business and corporate strategy topics.
· Proficiency in audio and video editing software (Audacity, Adobe Audition, Final Cut, etc.).
· Social media management experience, particularly in LinkedIn and X.
· Exceptional writing and storytelling skills to craft compelling content.
· Analytical mindset to track engagement and optimize strategy.
Bonus Points:
· Experience with professional services firms or business and financial industry content.
· Familiarity with SEO and digital marketing strategies.
· Graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar tools.
· Ability to simplify complex business topics into compelling content.
