Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and responsive Social Media and Marketing Coordinator who can work remotely, ideally from home. The ideal candidate will develop and execute social media strategies, create marketing materials such as flyers, and actively support the Proverbs 31 Business Women Fellowship. They will also assist in promoting nonprofit courses offered through our partnerships with community colleges. This role requires an individual who is comfortable working independently, able to meet deadlines, and prepared to attend in-person meetings in San Diego at least once a month.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Marketing
Manage and maintain social media accounts for both Philips Nonprofit Consulting and the Proverbs 31 Business Women Fellowship.
Create, schedule, and post engaging content at least three times a week on various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
Monitor engagement and interactions, responding promptly and professionally to inquiries or comments.
Creative Collateral and Flyer Design
Develop visually appealing marketing materials and flyers for fellowship events, courses, and consulting services.
Maintain consistency in branding, design, and messaging across all platforms.
Recruitment and Outreach
Collaborate with CEO to identify and recruit prospective students for our nonprofit classes offered at local community colleges.
Coordinate and manage outreach efforts, including email campaigns and social media promotions.
In-Person Participation
Attend at least one in-person monthly meeting in San Diego, specifically for the Proverbs 31 Business Women Fellowship.
Participate in occasional workshops, networking events, or training sessions as needed.
Administrative and Organizational Support
Maintain content calendars, track performance metrics, and provide regular reports on marketing initiatives.
Assist with general office tasks related to marketing, communication, and project coordination.
Qualifications
Proven experience in social media marketing, particularly Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Strong graphic design skills using software such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Highly organized and proactive, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Experience in marketing or communications for community colleges, nonprofits, or faith-based organizations is a plus.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while being a team player.
Must be based in the San Diego area or be willing to travel locally for monthly in-person meetings.
