Digital Media Strategist Jobs in New York, NY at Univision communications inc

For over 30 years, the Firehouse Center for the Arts has been a hallmark of local culture and arts on the historic waterfront in Newburyport. The intimate theater provides a variety of performances including live music and comedy, theater, dance, film, a school show series, and youth education programming.

We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to work under the direction of the Executive Director and in collaboration with the Artistic Director and other theater colleagues. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will be responsible for organizing the marketing plans to promote the theater’s performances, memberships, fundraising campaigns and events to include advertising, media, graphic design, marketing, social media, and public relations, etc.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:

Goal

Handle all aspects of Firehouse marketing to expand our brand and demographic reach while increasing donations, memberships and ticket sales.

Marketing

Develop a marketing plan/calendar and budget with specific tactics for programming, memberships and fundraising.
Develop and execute paid marketing (print and digital) to expand reach within target audiences.
Partner with local organizations (Chamber, North Shore media, Daily News, etc.) for exposure opportunities.

Graphic Design and Content

Design content for social media, collateral, eMail, website, advertisements, donor communications, and lobby screens.

Social Media and Digital

Manage social media platforms with posts and paid media: Instagram and Facebook.
Manage eMail campaigns for Firehouse brand, performances, events and fundraising.
Implement paid media ads with non-profit Google Ads budget.
Manage production and distribution for collateral.
Establish a metrics dashboard for tracking initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
One to two years experience in marketing communications, preferably in the non-profit arts and culture field.
Excellent writing skills. Ability to write compelling copy about the performing arts to increase ticket sales and member and donor engagement.
Strong computer skills Including Microsoft Office Suite, MailChimp or other eMail platforms, Canva for graphic design.
Experience with creating, targeting, executing and tracking social media and digital media campaigns.
Experience with photo editing, graphics and video editing is a plus.
Experience with website content management systems including WordPress is also a plus.
Familiarity with working with customer databases to pull reports and research trends.
Ability to think creatively and develop innovative approaches to marketing.
Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation and organizational skills.
Understanding of business needs and ability to adjust project priorities.

Job Structure and Benefits

Non-exempt, hourly, full-time position.
Compensation will annualize to $40,000-45,000 based on experience.
Occasional weekend and evening hours will be required.
Comprehensive benefits package: Two weeks paid time off, two weeks of additional paid closure (leave), 70% sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance, remote work options, short-term disability, plus complimentary tickets to events and performances based on availability.
