Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Marketing/Public Relations Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various marketing activities in advocating for small business issues.
Responsibilities:
· Make advocacy calls related to small business issues to organizations, public interest groups and congressional offices
· Maintain contacts and notes in CRM
· Assist in developing and executing social media and content strategies to increase awareness of small business issues
· Respond to information requests from organizations and media contacts
· Maintain positive relationships with media outlets, and public interest groups
· Manage calendars; schedule meetings; send invitations
· Participate in calls including populating CRM with meeting notes and client profile data
· Manage e-mail in-boxes and general correspondence
· Track projects and tasks
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or two years of related experience required.
· Proficient in social media platforms
· Proficient verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to write content for social media
· Proficient networking skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with organizations, media contacts and public interest groups
· Proficient organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
