Instructs high school students in one Marketing Education. Utilizes current strategies and theories to plan and implement lessons. This position reports to the Principal.
Instructs students, using various teaching methods, such as lecture, audiovisual aids, demonstration and other materials to supplement presentations relative to specific content field.
Assigns lessons and corrects homework; administers tests to evaluate students’ progress, record results and issue reports to inform parents of progress. Maintains discipline in classroom. Supervises behavior outside the classroom (i.e., halls, bus, lunch/cafeteria, rest room duty).
Prepares course outlines and objectives according to curriculum guidelines or state and local requirements.
Conducts parent/teacher conferences to review student’s progress, performance, and behavior problems. Participates in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences and teacher training workshops.
All other duties as assigned, in order to perform the above services.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, Specialist’s, and/or Doctorate degree in Education required related to grade level and content area.
One (1) year teaching experience preferred.
Certification by the State of Georgia in Education T-4 to T-7 and content area specialization as required by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.
