The role you’ll contribute:

The Marketing Director is a critical member of the system and campus marketing and administrative team, providing leadership and oversight of AdventHealth branding, strategic planning and vision development, marketing and advertising. This role interacts closely with the campus CEO and their subsequent executive leadership teams. This position is required to build and grow these relationships and to ensure that their priorities are aligned to the marketing priorities and initiatives. The Marketing Director requires strong management and leadership skills as well as brand management and strategic marketing capabilities, but will place a premium on being able to successfully work across a broad spectrum of marketing disciplines. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Leadership of System Strategy for contract media, including contract negotiations, oversight of AdventHealth market presence and system media coordination. Serves as Liaison with contracted Advertising Agency.
Responsible for developing and maintain strong personal relationships with the campus CEOs and their executive leadership team to ensure alignment between system, campus and marketing priorities and goals. This position is point person for the CEO for all marketing needs.
Provides Leadership for System-wide Mass Media Campaigns. Leads task teams in strategic direction, multi-campus integration and branding.
Provides leadership for the development of strategic vision and direction for the integrated planning and execution of AdventHealth Orlando, Institutes of Excellence and Service Line marketing plans including: advertising, marketing, community relations, special events, media, sponsorships.

STRATEGIC PLANNING RESPONSIBILITY:

Provides concise and relevant information to senior leadership to assist in the development of the strategic planning process.
Serves as a leader in knowledge of the competitive market, working with admin and physician leaders to establish long term goals and a vision for the development and progression of campus, program/ service line.
Strong working knowledge of competitors, technology, new physicians and competitive landscape.
Understands dynamics of competitor pricing and AdventHealth positioning in the market related to value.

COMPLIANCE/REGULATORY RESPONSIBILITY:

Provides leadership and serves as a resource for brand development for System, Campus, Institutes of Excellence, and service lines.

OPERATING & CAPITAL BUDGET/FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:

Manages budgets for the system contract media planning and provides leadership for system investments in contract media.
Manages budget for System Mass Media campaigns, and provides leadership at the campus level for campaign activities ensuring strategies align with volume and ROI targets.
Manages Orlando campus budget, provides leadership to marketing Institute leaders ensuring strategies align with volume and ROI targets for the Institute and ultimately the Orlando Campus.

PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT RESPONSIBILITY:

Identifies downtrends, reports accordingly and leads marketing team to develop strategies to maintain and grow/reverse downtrends.
Maintains in-depth understanding of profitability by campus and service line.
Ensure marketing team maintains appropriate tracking, monitoring and reporting of Return on Investment reports to ensure budgeted growth targets are met.

COMMUNITY RELATIONS RESPONSIBILITY:

Manages relationships with outside vendors and identifies joint branding and marketing efforts to increase community awareness and positive perception of AdventHealth.
Leads development of community engagement strategy including partnerships, sponsorships and special events.

STAFFING/LABOR/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

Manages marketing team to ensure prioritization, organization and efficiency. Guides forecasting, strategy, messaging and creative direction and execution.
Provides career development opportunities for marketing representatives, establishes short and long term priorities and guides career path planning. Meets quarterly to develop personal and professional growth plans

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Excellent communication skills and strong oral and written skills
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Strong initiative and dependability, must exhibit strong focus on developing and executing measure results
Ability to analyze financial documents, business plans, and marketing research reports
Understanding of hospital operations and financials

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or Health Related Field
5-7 years of marketing experience
