In this highly visible leadership role, the Director of Marketing is responsible for developing, implementing, and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications, and public relations strategy to enhance the hotel’s brand positioning and market presence. This position leads all marketing initiatives in collaboration with the Director of Revenue Management to drive revenue, guest engagement, and overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute marketing plans aligned with the hotel’s business objectives, ensuring strategic positioning within the marketplace.
Community & Partner Relations: Oversee community engagement strategies, identifying and managing key relationships with stakeholders such as the CVC, MCC, Chamber, and other relevant organizations to maximize partnerships and visibility.
Digital & Content Marketing: Direct the management and optimization of all hotel websites, social media platforms, and online marketing efforts, ensuring brand consistency and revenue growth.
Brand Management: Oversee all aspects of brand positioning, ensuring consistency across marketing materials, hotel promotions, and vendor partnerships to enhance guest experiences and increase profitability.
Public Relations & Influencer Strategy: Lead PR efforts, including media outreach, influencer partnerships, and community engagement, as well as managing inbound media inquiries and content creation for press releases.
Revenue-Generating Initiatives: Develop innovative marketing campaigns to drive revenue, including packaging, demand-based promotions, upselling tactics, and partnerships with key vendors and community organizations.
Creative Asset Management: Direct the creation and maintenance of all marketing collateral, including brochures, signage, menus, photography, video content, and digital assets for both on- and off-property use.
Media Planning & Advertising: Develop and execute comprehensive media plans, including paid advertising, copywriting, placement, and performance analysis to maximize return on investment.
Event & Sponsorship Management: Oversee hotel-sponsored events, on-property activations, influencer collaborations, and brand-sharing opportunities to enhance guest experiences and community involvement.
Data & Performance Analysis: Utilize analytics tools to monitor marketing effectiveness, track digital engagement, and adjust strategies based on insights and business needs.
Reputation & Social Media Management: Monitor and manage online reputation channels, responding to guest reviews, curating meaningful online dialogue, and maintaining a strong social media presence.
Team Collaboration & Leadership: Work cross-functionally with internal departments, corporate marketing teams, and external agencies to ensure alignment and effectiveness of marketing efforts.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience: Minimum 5 years of marketing experience , with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the hospitality industry or a related field.
