As the Channel Marketing Lead for the Americas, you will drive the strategic vision and execution of marketing initiatives for Windows, Microsoft 365, and Surface, ensuring alignment of global guidance with regional priorities across the U.S., Canada, and LATAM. This role is pivotal in creating exceptional customer experiences, growing partner businesses, and accelerating sales by developing and delivering marketing strategies that stand out both online and in-store.
You will lead a team of strategic line of business leads and discipline experts in areas like social & influencer marketing, retail media networks, and campaign management. Working jointly with Partner Marketers and Partner Readiness and Influence Teams, you will ensure marketing strategies are brought to life through innovative campaigns that drive traffic to retail, maximize ROI, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
As the budget owner for the marketing team, you will oversee the development and execution of full-funnel marketing plans, leveraging data and retail insights to optimize performance. This role champions omnichannel innovation, identifying new ways to elevate in-store experiences, enhance e-commerce capabilities, and build connected product stories that resonate with consumers.
Leadership is at the heart of this role, and you’ll foster a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and impact. By driving clarity, generating energy, and delivering results, you’ll not only lead a high-performing team but also help transform the way consumers experience Microsoft products across the Americas. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home depending on Microsoft office proximity.

Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Leadership
Drive Regional Strategy for the Americas: Define and execute omnichannel marketing strategies for Surface, Windows, and M365, aligning regional priorities with global guidance.
Lead Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with category, sales, and marketing teams to create integrated marketing plans that prioritize growth areas.
Investment Strategy: Oversee the planning and allocation of budget (OPEX) to support in-store activities & online campaigns, ensuring high-impact execution and ROI.
Americas Marketing Campaign Strategy
Marketing Campaigns: Build and execute marketing campaigns, leveraging social, influencers, retail media networks, and in-store activation to drive traffic and conversion for our retailers.
Retail & Digital Transformation
Retail Innovation: Optimize both in-store and online presence through impactful displays, demo experiences, shop-in-shop programs, and enhanced e-commerce strategies that drive brand visibility and sales.
Digital Enablement: Partner with partner marketers and partner readiness and influence teams to elevate our marketing programs, ensuring alignment to our marketing strategies.
Connected Product Stories: Build narratives that integrate Surface, Windows, and M365, showcasing their value to consumers in relevant and engaging ways.
Insights, Reporting & Optimization
Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage analytics to measure campaign performance, identify opportunities, and refine strategies to drive better outcomes.
Market & Competitive Insights: Stay informed about consumer trends, competitive dynamics, and partner performance to shape proactive marketing actions.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead by Example: Manage and inspire a team of marketing strategists and specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders and external partners to share best practices and build synergies across markets.
Empower Partners: Act as a thought leader and trusted advisor, driving transformation for partners while ensuring alignment with Microsoft’s brand and goals.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field AND 7+ years digital, retail, channel marketing, marketing, retail sales, or commercial sales experience
OR equivalent experience.
4+ years people management experience.
3+ years’ experience in omnichannel marketing, including digital transformation, e-commerce, and in-store activations.
3+ years’ experience managing high-performance, cross-functional teams and executing impactful campaigns.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field AND 9+ years digital, retail, channel marketing, marketing, retail sales, or commercial sales experience
OR Master’s Degree in Business Administration, or related field AND 7+ years Digital, Retail, Channel Marketing, Marketing, Retail Sales, or commercial sales experience
OR equivalent experience.
5+ years project leadership/generic management experience.
5+ years of marketing industry experience, preferably in the retail space, with expertise managing multiple product categories and complex sales motions.
Proven ability to drive full-funnel marketing strategies, particularly for consumer technology products, with a focus on delivering results.
Comprehensive understanding of the omnichannel buying journey and sales channels, with expertise in coordinating marketing and sales programs across disciplines.
Demonstrated excellence in marketing execution and ROI, leveraging planning, creative execution, readiness, and analytics/insights.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to be a great listener and engage diverse audiences effectively.
Presentation and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of success in influencing and collaborating across all levels of an organization.
Solid business and financial acumen, including experience managing suppliers, navigating cross-functional business needs, and adapting to market trends and dynamics.
Ability to engage and influence executives with executive presence and a collaborative approach.
Proven ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to rapid change with agility and a willingness to take calculated risks.
Demonstrated success in developing and managing high-performance, diverse, and hybrid teams in dynamic environments.
Channel Marketing M5 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 – $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 – $268,900 per year.
