RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director of Operations for The Foundation for Rock Hill Schools will oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring effective implementation of programs and initiatives. This role requires strong organizational and managerial skills to support the Executive Director in achieving The Foundation’s mission and goals.

Leadership

Lead with a value-driven and growth mindset, setting an example that inspires collaboration
Manage and nurture relationships with volunteers and stakeholders to support The Foundation’s values and mission
Work closely with the ED, board members, and other stakeholders to align operational strategies with The Foundation’s goals.

Finance and Governance

Work closely with the ED to ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and funding requirements, as well as adherence to The Foundation’s policies and procedures (Board Meeting records, financial policies, Ethics Forms, Conflict of Interest, MOU’s, etc)

Resource and Development

Collaborate with the ED to establish daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual practices for donor stewardship
Assist the ED with reports, analytics, and tracking of the Annual Campaign
Ensure collection and submission of data required by grant funding and nonprofit regulations

Marketing

Execute messaging and branding as aligned by the ED and Marketing Committee
Work with any third party Marketing firms to ensure alignment with The Foundation’s vision, voice, and branding
Gather impact data from all Foundation programming to regularly share with the ED and Marketing Committee

Board Support

Collect and manage Board submissions such as Ethics Forms, Annual Pledges, and other duties as assigned. Keep ED informed of tracking and progress.
Develop and maintain records for volunteer tracking of Board and volunteers for grant and 990 reporting
Assist ED and Nominating Chair with Board Member Applications, onboarding, roster, birthdays, and other personal details

Program Oversight

Recruit, manage, and cultivate volunteer base including Board Members and Committee Directors through training, onboarding processes, and development
Work closely with the ED to execute programs (Educator Grants, Back the Pack, Student Celebration, Educator for a Day, Back to School Rally, and all auxiliary initiatives) by managing event logistics, funding allocation, and volunteer support
Collect and analyze program data to measure impact and inform decision-making; prepare reports for the board and stakeholders at the request of the Executive Director
Ensure programming execution is done with excellence and in line with The Foundation values and mission

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in nonprofit program, or event management, preferably with mission-focused organizations.
Relationship Management: Demonstrated experience in client relations, volunteer cultivation, or team development. The ideal candidate should have a proven ability to recruit, inspire, and mobilize group efforts for meaningful, philanthropic causes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
