This hybrid strategist and client team lead will guide the agency’s strategic offerings, and through management of the client service team, ensure those strategies are implemented in the day-to-day work. By formulating insights from data and research, you’ll develop strategic recommendations that move clients to meet and surpass their goals and help the agency create impactful work.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage strategic engagements such
***** strategic planning, brand strategy, go-to-market planning, communications planning, marketing strategy, and creative strategy.
Add strategic value to GR clients across the agency including creative, media, PR, web, and content.
Mentor and train team members on strategy development.
Present strategic recommendations to clients and assist with implementation to put recommendations in place.
Research
Manage and execute qualitative and quantitative research projects for GR clients, partnering with outside research consultants as needed.
Conduct qualitative
***** interviews, facilitate brainstorms, and manage focus groups.
Plan, program, implement, and analyze quantitative research.
Develop a scaled approach to research for the agency – capable of delivering insights to clients at lower cost and timing, potentially aided by AI and other technology/tools.
Identify insights from primary and secondary research to understand new sectors, industries, products, and services.
Present findings to clients in a way that demonstrates confidence in our process and value in our insights.
Lead Client Service Team
Manage the team and build an environment of mentoring based on strategic marketing insights.
Partner with client leadership (internal/external) to strategize and support the delivery of the best solutions.
Identify new strategies that go beyond standard practices to create client-tailored solutions.
Evolve and enhance client service models and continually optimize the way we think and work with clients.
Ensure the team is meeting client and agency objectives.
Define budgets, identify risks and opportunities, and manage scopes.
New Business
Work with the new business team to develop strategic POVs and creative strategy for pitches.
Help determine opportunities to sell strategy as a service and demonstrate the value to clients.
The ideal candidate for the Director, Strategy and Client Service will have strong experience in strategy, research, and building direct relationships with clients. This person should have experience within an agency setting. They enjoy mentoring team members, serving as a point of contact on client engagements, and presenting findings and recommendations to clients. The ideal candidate should be confident and well-spoken, yet express aspects of humility, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence.
