Summary
We are seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team at IBEW & United Workers Federal Credit Union. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and executing marketing strategies that enhance member engagement and promote our financial products. Your contributions will directly support our mission of serving our union members effectively.
Position Summary
Build effective relationships with IBEW & United Workers members and Select Employer Groups (SEGs) to support our vision of being our members’ most trusted financial partner. Influence the engagement of staff to drive culture and support campaigns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Work with management to coordinate, lead and represent IBEW & United Workers at Union, Benefit Fairs and Community events.
2. Identify, cultivate, and deepen partnerships with our unions and Select Employer Groups (SEG). Including educating Union and SEG contacts on enrollment procedures, pertinent IBEW & United Workers contacts, new services, marketing campaigns and promotions.
3. Inspire employees by effectively influencing, engaging, and motivating them to actively participate in organizational events and campaigns. Foster collaboration with Branch, Call Center, and Lending teams to ensure widespread involvement and heightened awareness of internal campaigns, marketing initiatives, and PR volunteer opportunities.
4. Coordinate, implement, and present financial education programs for our employees, unions, youth and young adults and the community including advertising, registration, logistics, follow up etc.
5. Assist with developing goals, strategies, and guidelines, for charitable giving, staff volunteerism, community partnerships and programs that align with the Credit Union’s strategic business objectives.
6. Plan, execute and oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, print, social media, union trade newspapers and email marketing.
7. Manage product launches and promotional activities to support the institution’s financial products and services.
8. Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and partners to ensure high-quality deliverables.
9. Ensure all marketing activities comply with industry regulations, legal standards, and company policies.
10. Participate in special projects such as:
a. Enhancing our Financial Education under the direction of the CO-CEO’s.
b. Analyzes opportunities to increase Union and SEG base by researching the market.
11. Remain flexible in scheduling. Including working early mornings, some nights and weekends for planned special events.
12. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
College education in public relations, marketing, communications, social media management or business as areas of study or comparable work experience is strongly desired.
The ability to communicate at a highly personable, professional, effective and efficient level in person, by phone and in writing is necessary.
Spanish speaking skills a plus.
Ability to work with personal information in a confidential manner is required.
Self-directed, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Consistently seeking innovation and refinement in our brand, marketing, and communication efforts.
Must be able to represent IBEW & United Workers’ culture in a highly professional manner. This includes a professional personal appearance, and a professional group presentation manner.
Ability to prioritize, work quickly, efficiently, and accurately to meet deadlines with minimal supervision required. Must have excellent personal and time management skills.
A strong aptitude for learning and using computer software systems, multiple computer screens, and demonstrated ability to use MS Office products and multiple PC windows. Proficient in using MS Office software (Outlook, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Share Point) and a general acumen to learn and use new systems.
Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and ability to travel within state of WA and OR required. Reliable transportation needed.
