SUMMARY
The Ecommerce Associate plays a key role in managing and optimizing the Kids2 ecommerce ecosystem, ensuring product accuracy, digital merchandising excellence, and performance optimization across key retail and direct-to-consumer channels. This position supports the execution of digital strategies, analyzes ecommerce performance metrics, and implements best practices to drive sales growth and operational efficiency.
Additionally, this role supports the Ecommerce department in administrative functions that require independent decision-making, time-sensitive execution, and a high level of organization. Responsibilities include legal intake coordination, purchase order creation, vendor onboarding, and other strategic administrative tasks that contribute to the efficiency of the ecommerce department.
This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable making strategic recommendations to enhance the online shopping experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Digital Merchandising & Product Data Management
Manage product setup, updates, and optimizations across ecommerce platforms, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Partner with internal teams to enhance product content, imagery, and descriptions to maximize conversion.
Ensure seamless product launches and discontinuations by maintaining lifecycle data.
Implement and refine digital shelf best practices for enhanced visibility and performance.
Ecommerce Performance & Strategy Execution
Monitor key ecommerce performance indicators (traffic, conversion rates, sales trends) and provide insights for optimization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales) to align digital initiatives with business goals.
Identify and execute A/B testing strategies to enhance the customer experience and drive sales growth.
Analyze site search trends, user behavior, and customer feedback to improve online merchandising strategies.
Administrative & Operational Support for Ecommerce
Act as the primary administrative support for Ecommerce, handling time-sensitive tasks that require independent judgment.
Legal Intake Coordination – Serve as the liaison for legal requests related to ecommerce agreements, contracts, and compliance, ensuring timely submission and tracking of documents.
Purchase Order Creation & Vendor Onboarding – Manage purchase order submissions, vendor setup, and contract approvals in accordance with company policies.
Cross-functional Coordination – Partner with finance, procurement, and legal teams to ensure smooth operations and adherence to company procedures.
Ad Hoc Project Management – Handle special projects as assigned by the VP of Ecommerce, including research, reporting, and strategic support initiatives.
Process Improvement & Compliance
Develop and maintain documentation for ecommerce processes, ensuring best practices are followed.
Work proactively to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and system enhancements.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging ecommerce technologies.
Maintain compliance with ecommerce platform requirements, retailer specifications, and SEO best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
1-3 years of experience in ecommerce, digital merchandising, online sales strategy, or administrative support within a corporate setting.
Experience in a Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) or retail ecommerce environment preferred.
Strong analytical skills with experience using Google Analytics, Profitero, or other ecommerce performance tools.
Working knowledge of Shopify, Amazon Seller/Vendor Central, Walmart Marketplace, or similar ecommerce platforms.
Experience with content management systems (CMS), PIM systems (e.g., Salsify), and digital marketing best practices.
Prior experience handling administrative or operational tasks such as vendor onboarding, purchase order creation, and legal document coordination is a plus.
EDUCATION & SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Ecommerce, or a related field.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying solutions and opportunities.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ecommerce tools.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
General office environment. Must be in office three days per week, Tuesday – Thursday.
Minimal travel required.
