Opportunity Overview
This is an exciting chance to join a dynamic team where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of advertising, promotional, disease awareness, and labeling materials. As the Copy Editor, Marketing, you will serve as a content expert, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all materials are thoroughly reviewed and meet company standards. This role offers a flexible hybrid schedule and the opportunity to contribute to impactful marketing projects for a leading company in the industry.
Responsibilities:
Editing promotional and sales training materials across multiple platforms (print, digital, and other media) for factual accuracy, grammatical correctness, and clarity.
Proofreading materials intended for both consumer and professional audiences.
Using electronic routing systems and online annotation tools to compare original text and images with final versions.
Ensuring content adheres to brand standards, style guides, and required references, including safety statements.
Conducting quality checks on materials prior to submission, maintaining consistency in language, references, logos, and document linking.
Performing final content reviews of production files, verifying alignment with approved documents, and testing basic interactive functions (e.g., links, scrolling, and pop-up features).
Participating in live review meetings as needed.
Providing courtesy proofreads on draft materials when required.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies between approved copy and final materials.
Managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring deadlines are met with attention to detail.
Qualifications:
4+ years of editing and proofreading experience, or equivalent.
Experience editing in the medical or pharmaceutical industry.
A strong understanding of AMA style guidelines.
Proficiency with editing and review tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, Veeva Promo Mats, and Docu Proof.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to learn and adapt to various software tools quickly.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
A collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
A Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
Experience in marketing, communications, or advertising, with familiarity in medical terminology and reviewing pharmaceutical content.
