Job Brief
We are seeking a Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Specialist with a strong analytical mindset, expertise in paid search and digital advertising, and a strong understanding of the automotive industry.
The ideal candidate will manage, analyze, and optimize Search, Performance Max, Vehicle Listing Ads, and Demand Gen campaigns in Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising. This role will play a crucial part in the company’s overall marketing strategy by driving campaign performance, optimizing media spend, and aligning SEM strategies with clients’ business objectives.
Objectives of this Role:
Maximize ROI for digital marketing campaigns through strategic campaign management and optimization.
Manage and optimize SEM campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising.
Monitor and adapt to search algorithm changes, digital advertising and automotive trends.
Align SEM strategies with clients current marketing initiatives and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Campaign Strategy & Execution:
Manage and optimize Search, Performance Max, Vehicle Listing Ads, and Demand Gen campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising.
Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and to optimize campaign performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Media, Creative, and Market Intelligence.
Client Interaction & Performance Management:
Work with Dealer Principals, General Managers, and Marketing Managers to align strategies.
Engage in daily client interaction to support campaign objectives and performance improvements.
Lead monthly performance reviews and strategy meetings with clients to ensure campaign performance aligns with client’s objectives.
Provide recommendations based on data-driven insights to enhance campaign performance.
Performance Monitoring, Optimization & Reporting:
Track and analyze campaign performance using Google Ads and Google Analytics.
Provide performance reports with actionable insights to optimize campaign effectiveness.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including CTR, CPC, CPA, conversion rate, impression share, and quality score.
Identify opportunities to enhance paid search performance through bid adjustments, audience segmentation, and automation.
Implement A/B testing strategies for ads and landing pages to improve conversion rates.
Stay up to date with SEM best practices, industry trends, and new advertising features.
Work closely with external media partners like Google and Microsoft to ensure smooth campaign execution.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
3–5+ years of SEM/PPC campaign management experience.
Proficiency in Google Ads (certification preferred) and Microsoft Advertising.
Strong knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
Experience with conversion tracking, remarketing, and audience segmentation.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Automotive SEM specialist role.
Experience working with clients of all sizes.
Experience working with Luxury brands.
Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Director of Retail Marketing.
