Founded in 1929, the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle (BGCNR) has been a place of hope and opportunity serving thousands of youths and has been an integral part of the New Rochelle community, offering youth safe and achieve-driven programming, focused on the whole child, encompassing academics, mental wellness, fitness, leadership, and civics.

Today, we serve over 10,000 youth each year, at two clubhouses and 12 school-sites. We offer after-school, before-school, elective, and summer programming designed to maximize positive impact and drive successful outcomes.

It is an exciting time to be at the BGCNR as we continue to expand school-sites in Westchester introducing and expanding innovative programs and activities, growing high need areas (health and mental wellness, STEAM/STEM, workforce development).

General Position

The Enrollment & Community Engagement Manager is responsible for managing a results-driven enrollment plan, coordinating organizational-wide, grass roots marketing and special events, while fostering strong family and community engagement. This role plays a key part in the recruitment and retention of members while strengthening relationships between families, schools, businesses and the community. The Manager will work closely with the CEO, Communications/Public Relations/Marketing, Resource Development, CPO, Board, and Clubhouse/School-Site Directors to implement outreach and engagement strategies and tactics that support organizational success.

Key Position Responsibilities

Enrollment Marketing & Community Engagement

§ Develop and implement strategic enrollment plan to increase recruitment and retention of new members.

§ Drive enrollment and retention goals for each Clubhouse and School-Site.

§ Manage grassroots marketing efforts, including district/school newsletters, parent nights, principal/teacher meetings, PTAs, open houses, social media outreach, events at churches, coffee shops, libraries, and other promotional activities.

§ Develop data-driven processes to track, monitor, and improve enrollment management outcomes.

§ Maintain strong relationships with schools, parent-teacher organizations, businesses, and local community organizations to foster collaboration.

§ Promote family involvement through volunteer opportunities at Club and School-Sites.

§ Develop family resource centers with educational materials, books, videos, and games.

§ Connect families with local resources (counseling, health services, and community service opportunities).

§ Design and conduct family/community surveys to enhance engagement strategies.

Special Events

§ Plan and execute organizational-wide special events in collaboration with CEO, Communications/Public Relations/Marketing, and Resource Development teams.

§ Secure and negotiate with vendors and sponsors to support events with funding, space, catering, and resources.

§ Plan creative events to engage the community and facilitate donor solicitation.

§ Identify and recruit corporate sponsors to underwrite event costs and contribute gifts, cash, or in-kind services.

§ Ensure smooth implementation and administration of all event-related logistics.

Budgeting, Tracking and Reporting

§ Evaluate the success of enrollment plans, special events, and engagement initiatives based on attendance, revenue, and community impact.

§ Develop and manage budgets for enrollment efforts, retention initiatives, and major events.

Relationship

Internal: Daily interaction with BGCNR leadership, Clubhouse and School-Site Directors, financial staff, and volunteers.

External: Regular engagement with business leaders, community leaders, parents, school administrators, teachers, and local stakeholders to drive outreach and participation.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

§ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in business, marketing, education, social services, or a related field.

§ Minimum of two years of experience in enrollment, grassroots marketing, special events planning, community engagement, or related areas.

§ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

§ Ability to interact with diverse populations and build relationships across various sectors.

§ Project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

§ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with CRM and donor management systems preferred.

§ Familiarity with community support agencies and engagement strategies.

§ Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

§ Ability to pass required background screenings.

Compensation:

Compensation and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with education and experience starting at $60-65,000.
