Job Summary
The Director of Marketing is a high-impact leadership role responsible for designing and executing best-in-class marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, accelerate patient referrals, and maximize business growth. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a deep understanding of multi-regional marketing, regulatory compliance, and business development in the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Brand Management
Develop and implement enterprise-level, data-driven marketing strategies that align with the company’s long-term objectives and growth targets.
Oversee brand positioning, corporate messaging, and strategic communications, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and data-driven decision-making within the marketing function.
Business Development & Market Expansion
Identify new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and referral sources within the healthcare industry, including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home health agencies.
Partner with sales leadership to refine lead generation strategies, increase conversion rates, and optimize patient acquisition.
Evaluate regional market trends and execute expansion strategies tailored to diverse patient demographics and provider networks.
Marketing Execution & Multi-Channel Engagement
Lead integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, social media, traditional media, and physician engagement initiatives.
Oversee the development and execution of compelling content strategies aligned with the company’s mission, values, and compliance requirements.
Establish and manage corporate sponsorships, community engagement initiatives, and professional networking events to drive market penetration.
Strategic Planning, Performance Metrics & Data-Driven Decision Making
Develop and implement strategic marketing plans that align with long-term company objectives and drive measurable business growth.
Lead and coordinate leadership calls to provide tangible marketing communications updates, progress insights, and strategic alignments.
Generate comprehensive reports showcasing ROI, campaign effectiveness, content performance, and overall progress to ensure continuous optimization.
Define and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including:
Lead conversion rates
Patient referral growth and retention
Market share expansion
Return on Investment (ROI) for marketing initiatives
Provider and community engagement metrics
Utilize advanced analytics and CRM systems to track performance, measure campaign effectiveness, and refine marketing strategies.
Team Leadership & Operational Excellence
Build and oversee a high-performing marketing team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and fostering a culture of excellence.
Provide mentorship, training, and leadership development to enhance team capabilities and performance.
Manage external vendor relationships, marketing agencies, and technology partners to drive operational efficiencies and maximize ROI.
Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and federal and state healthcare marketing regulations, incorporating best practices to uphold the highest ethical standards.
Regulatory & Compliance Responsibilities
Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws governing healthcare marketing, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with legal, compliance, and HR teams to develop policies and procedures that mitigate risk and uphold industry standards.
Monitor evolving regulatory requirements and adjust marketing strategies accordingly to maintain adherence to compliance standards.
Additional Responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned and complies with all company policies, position expectations, and ethical standards.
This role is hybrid/remote, primarily based in Texas (Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio), requiring frequent air and vehicle travel.
Qualifications & Experience:
Individuals with experience in expansion strategy planning, execution, market development, and advanced AI technologies and resources are highly desired.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in strategic marketing leadership, preferably in healthcare, multi-regional healthcare service industries, or medical practices.
Proven experience leading cross-functional, multi-state teams with a strong ability to align marketing efforts with business goals.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills with the ability to drive measurable impact.
Advanced expertise in digital marketing tools, CRM platforms, analytics systems, and content management technologies.
Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage C-suite executives, industry leaders, and healthcare professionals.
In-depth understanding of federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA marketing compliance.
Ability to travel extensively across assigned regions to meet business needs and represent the company at industry events.
