Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)
The Brand Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing brand engagement campaigns across a variety of channels; primarily: events, sponsorships and social media. This position will report to the Director of Acquisition and will be responsible for planning, managing and executing Champion Energy’s event marketing and social media calendars. The individual in this role should have a keen understanding of logistics, marketing and content management. The ideal candidate should possesses excellent interpersonal skills as they will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with community leaders, event support staff and vendors. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent written and oral communication skills as they will be responsible for creating all training and marketing materials for event promotion. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for content categorization, development and distribution.
Job Responsibilities
Identify and build strong working relationships with partners and vendors; this includes conducting site visits and business lunches
Plan, manage and execute events to meaningfully advance the brand goals of increased brand awareness, improved brand sentiment and lead generation
Responsible for all pre-event planning and event coordination including but not limited to internal team debrief and training for the event, creation of support materials, pre and post event communications with the internal team, partners, attendees and vendors
Work with in-house designer to ensure event content and graphics accurately represent the Champion brand
Produce high quality content for a wide variety of projects including but not limited to social media, print media, email, webpage copy and display advertising
Interview, select and manage temporary event staff and vendors
Anticipate event and logistical needs, execute on multiple event work streams at a time
Ensure all customer engagements in-field are aligned to overall brand strategy and priorities
Manage event budget to ensure all projected and actual costs are accounted for
Prepare post event reporting including key learnings and recommendations, and analyze the results to determine success
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, English, Journalism or related fields
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in event marketing, project management and/or sales
Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up and strong organizational skills
Strong project management skills and experience working successfully with cross-functional teams, as well as outside agencies
Strong written and verbal communication skills – qualified candidates must be able to provide a diverse writing portfolio in the interview
Excellent interpersonal skills – qualified candidates should be able to provide references upon request
