Job Summary:
The Marketing and Advertising Seasonal Assistant is responsible for supporting the Marketing department, along with integrated marketing media projects and day-to-day functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Marketing Managers with the execution and fulfillment of media campaigns, promotions and trade including radio, television, print, online, blogs and ad settlements.
Track, Analyze and Compare event ticket sales comparisons and media rates
Coordinate with internal departments and partner entities (including the Red Wings, Pistons, Tigers, MotorCity Casino Hotel, District Detroit, ODM Parking) where appropriate on marketing initiatives, sponsorship fulfillment and co-promotional opportunities
Coordinate sponsorship integration of all activations involving marketing assets, including recaps to the Sponsorship team
Responsible for updating and localizing event admats for ad campaigns from conceptual stage through approval, ensuring alignment with brand/tour guidelines and on time delivery for specific medium/channel (ie: including print, billboard, web, and social media)
Responsible for influencer, street team and grass roots initiatives
Maintain media spending & promotion, trade, blog/influencer lists
Coordinate day of show marketing activities including radio remotes, promotions and meet and greets and route communication
Coordinate and execute in-house marketing assets including event venue signage and signage at other 313 Presents properties
Assist with special projects, presentations and budgets
Assist Digital/Email Manager with targeted list pulling in Salesforce for deployment of email communications surrounding events, premium and group sales initiatives
Assist with building and deployment of email communications to guests
Research and report on trends in email, social and traditional marketing solutions
Coordinate, activate and assist in recapping promotions with sponsors, third parties, institutions and other organizations as assigned
Process and maintain promotional ticketing database working with the Box Office and Marketing Manager to execute on pre-approved promotions
Assist in maintenance of company digital marketing platforms
Attend events and execute on site activities. Assist and/or individually execute marketing activities at events.
Proof for accuracy all public facing materials including emails, website, digital signage, marquee artwork etc.
Additional administrative responsibilities as needed.
Coordinate special projects as assigned.
Additional duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
College degree with a preferred concentration in marketing, digital, email, business management or related field recommended.
High School Diploma required.
Previous internship experience recommended.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
High level of resourcefulness, initiative, and good judgment setting priorities and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Sound MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Photoshop, inDesign, Adobe Acrobat skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of the Detroit Media Market.
Knowledge/Interest in the Event Marketing Industry.
Salesforce and digital analytics/reporting knowledge.
Working Conditions:
Frequent visual/auditory attention.
Moderate noise level.
